 In
February of 2001, Sonny chose to pioneer a new bull riding
association.
By-law and rules were completed and the IBR was established. The
headquarters for the newly found association is here at our ranch. We
have been involved in the world of rodeo for the greater part of our
life. Whether Sonny, competing as a bull riding or steer wrestling
contestant or the family business in bucking bull genetics, livestock
contracting, bull riding productions, or just being a bull riding fan on
the sidelines we are all well aware of the responsibilities and
attributes required in operating a successful bull riding association.
As the IBR president, Sonny has proven his motivation in upholding the
criteria’s of a professional bull riding association and takes great
pride in representing the “IBR contestant” this is evident with the
membership growing into the one hundred’s. Since 2001 the IBR has
sanctioned over 220 events, with another fifty plus events, possibly
scheduled for 2007. In 2006 alone, the IBR paid out over $175,000.00 in
prize money & awards. The
northeast is alive with exceptionally vigorous bull riders and it
is our goal to provide generous prize money, impartial judging,
outstanding livestock, and a triumphant victory for the International
